Monthly Events
Here at RBC we have lots of ongoing monthly events for you to become involved in. Below you will find a quick highlight of some of these ministries as well as a way to join in on the fun. If you ever have any questions you may always contact Kevin K Lewis, the Minster of Senior Adults, for details. Thank you for your interest in ministering to others! *Note all events and times are subject to change and cancellation, always check before each event.
Monthly Senior Luncheon We meet the first Tuesday of every month (excluding July) for a time of food, fellowship, and fun! To see the latest themes and entertainment click HERE to go to the Luncheon Page. If you have any questions you can always call the office and speak with Kevin or Glenda: (423) 499-0994
RBC Supper Club
The RBC Supper Club (formerly Widower's Dinner) meets for dinner on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm and for special events. This "club" is for all men both single and married, both young and old, both member and non member, both handsome and ugly. Actually, ugly people aren't invited. Just kidding! I just want ed to see if you were still reading! We hope to see you at our next dinner. No reservations needed! The RBC Breakfast Club is very similar to the Supper Club except that it's at breakfast. It is a great way to start off the day with a group of fun guys. Come and bring a friend to our next meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 8:00am. The Widows' Breakfast
Join us for The Widows' Breakfast every 3rd Tuesday at 10:00am in the Ridgedale Room. We gather monthly for breakfast and to fellowship and grow in our friendship with each other and our relationship with God. We hope to see you soon! Any questions contact Lynn Smith or Nadine Million or call the office and speak with Kevin. Be on the lookout for signs pointing the way to our FUN!
Women's Brunch Book Club
If you like to read and eat breakfast casseroles, then this is the club for you! They meet every month and talk over books they are reading. It is a fun social atmosphere that is welcomes everyone... so long as you like breakfast casseroles, I mean. We meet the 4th Wednesday of every month at various locations. Call to get the latest spot. We hope to see you at a meeting soon!
Contact Kevin at the Church or get in touch with Mrs. Decie Saylor for more information.
Homebound Ministry
Come and be a part of our wonderful homebound ministry. Join the great group of folks who visit with our members who are no longer able to get out and about. Try it and you will see that it usually ends up being more of a blessing for you than the people you are visiting. If you have any questions get in touch with Kevin or Mrs. Gerry Cotter, our homebound team captain.
HaCoBACare Ministry
HaCoBACare Ministries is a mission located at St. Elmo Baptist Church dedicated to providing for our communities physical, medical, and spiritual needs. Volunteers are needed daily. We have groups that go each day and every one would love for you to join them! If you are interested in becoming a part of this ministry contact Kevin or Hamilton County Baptist Association directly. Prayer Room Ministry
"To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing." -Martin Luther King, Jr. I just love that quote by King: if we are alive, we are praying. This is the one ministry that ALL of us can be a part of here at Ridgedale. We have prayer lists available for everyone in The Prayer Room. If you are able you can volunteer to come to the prayer room and pray for those on the list and send them a prayer-gram to encourage them and let them know we are praying. If you want to know more about this ministry or receive a prayer list contact Kevin or Audrey at the church: (423) 499-0994
Senior Adult Gospel Choir
Join us each Wednesday at 4pm in the Choir Room! We are led by our music minster Michael Johnson singing old favorites and new favorites. We are either practicing or out ministering at local nursing homes, healthcare facilities, or just wherever there are people who need to be ministered to! If you would like to be a part of this wonderful time or ministry contact Kevin or Michael or Mrs RuthAnn: (423) 499-0994 for the schedule and how you can plug in! NOTE: You do NOT need to be a wonderful singer. We all just make a joyful noise and somehow through the grace of God, with all our voices together, it comes out sounding great. Women on Missions
What a fantastic ministry to be a part of here at Ridgedale! WOM (and WMU) meet monthly to discuss missions, and work daily to put their words into actions. If you want to be a part of this ministry contact Kevin or Mrs Mary Jo Vaughn for more details about their current mission and next meeting.
If there are any other events and ministries you would like to know more about, please feel free to contact the church, or Kevin directly, for more information. My number one goal here at RBC is to see every single one of our Senior Adults involved in some ongoing ministry. If you don't see one on here that fits you, let me know and I will work with you to start one that does because we want to be living out our ministry's verse: "Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come." Psalm 71:18
