Lunch with Luther NEXT LUNCHEON: Tuesday, November 01, 2011 12:00 noon - 1:00pm Coming in November!
This month we are doing something a little different than our normal luncheon. Normally we get together and we have lunch, we're still doing that. Normally we have entertainment, we're still doing that. Normally we have a great time, we're still doing that. "Well what is so different about what we are doing then, Kevin???" you might be asking. Well, I'm glad you did! This month we are turning our fun into fun-draising! We are getting together with the LEGENDARY Luther Masingill and James Howard to raise money to build Thanksgiving Baskets for our friends and their families over at East Brainerd Elementary and other Hamilton County Schools. It's the least we can do, right! Get together and have a chicken lunch to provide children with a turkey dinner! James Howard will be there to host proceedings as we honor Luther and ask him all those questions we have been dying to know like, "If you wake up at 3am and go to work and... wait, you wake up at 3 am??" and "What's the craziest animal you have ever had to announce is missing?" and "How old were you when you invented the radio?" and many, many more! The Chattanooga Girls Choir will be there to perform, which will be amazing as always and plus it's a good cause. You could eat at Taco Bell for 5 bucks or you could eat a great herb crusted chicken breast with wild rice and vegetables, hot roll, a garden salad, and even a strawberry shortcake for dessert with the added bonus of knowing that your 5 bucks, ALL OF IT, will go towards building boxes for students and their families who are in need. Plus you could still eat Taco Bell for dinner. The program will last from 12:00 till 1:00pm sharp because we know that a lot of you will have to get back to work and we want you all to be able to make it back and not get in trouble. That's one thing Taco Bell has over us: A drive thru window. A plus with us, though, you won't get back to work with taco sauce on your shirt. Or you might, I'm not sure how you eat chicken and rice. The point is, we can't wait to have you here for this wonderful fundraiser! It is a great cause and we are so excited to have Luther here with us and James to host and The Chattanooga Girls Choir to sing! Tickets are available by calling 423-499-0994 or every Sunday in the Atrium and every Wednesday Night in the CLC.
